As I think about the past month at the Oaks Ministry, I am reminded of God’s faithfulness and provision and I praise Him. I am also reminded of the following verse:
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
In the beginning of June, the Oaks Ministry found itself in need of two new people to join our ministry team. Rachel our house manager and Judy our board secretary felt the Lord leading them in another direction. Judy has since relocated to Virginia and Rachel is planning a wedding!! Both will continue to be involved in the ministry, just in different roles, in different locations.
Both were called to their positions for a time and for a season, the season wasn’t as long as we hoped it would be but we know that God’s timing is always perfect! God has since then provided two wonderful ladies to fill the open positions.
The Oaks Ministry is pleased to introduce to you our new Residential House Manager as of July 1st, Paula Swain. Paula attends Media Mennonite Church. Paula loves God and after much prayer has responded to the call to become the next house manager for the Oaks Ministry. Please keep her in your prayers as she steps out in faith and takes on this new responsibility.
We are also pleased to introduce to you our newest member of the board, PJ Scheese. PJ attends Bethany Presbyterian Church. PJ is excited about her faith and excited about this new opportunity to serve Christ by serving along side of us on our team. PJ has a lot of experience working in the community and serving others. Please keep her in your prayers as she steps out in faith and takes on this new responsibility.
This ministry is, has been and always will be a huge step of faith. We wouldn’t want it any other way. We will continue to do what we can do to help others in His name and will trust God to do what only He can do…and He will!!
