Oaks II

The Oaks Ministry Board has agreed to move forward with the responsibility of another home that God has provided to help women in need. We have been busy cleaning and painting and fixing up another beautiful home, in the Borough of Oxford for His holy purposes. It too shall be a “planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor”. Isaiah 61:3b.

The Oaks Ministry thanks the people at Oxford Presbyterian Church for partnering with us to help vulnerable women who need a place to stay until they can become financially stable.  We also thank Andrews Bridge Mennonite, and Wesley Church, and others for their help to get this new location ready.  It is our hope to have it ready by October 1, 2016.

We are currently looking for a Residential House Manager and we are accepting applications for entrance into the Oaks II Ministry Housing program in the fall. You may call  484-368-7268 for more information or you may download and fill out an application that is on this website under “House Policies and Application” and mail it in and we will contact you for an interview after prayerfully considering if you are a good candidate for our program.

Things are going well at Oaks House I. We ask for prayers for one of our residents who is in rehab after neck surgery. We are praying for complete healing and that she will be able to work more hours after healing.  Also pray for another resident who is in need of a vehicle to get her back and forth to work. We are looking for something recently inspected and in good running condition and of course low priced. When God provides a vehicle for this resident, all of our ladies will have their own transportation. A huge step to independent living. I am seeing amazing spiritual growth in our residents. They are blooming where they are planted!! To God Be the Glory!!

Kevin and I had the chance to take a vacation, just the two of us to the mountains of West Virginia. We had a fun, relaxing week at Canaan Valley Resort.  I thank God for giving us this special time together. We will be celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary tomorrow. Who would have ever thought that God would take two young, immature, rebellious teens and use us for His holy purposes like he has. So thankful for His amazing, unconditional love. I thank God for the Oaks Ministry and for His guidance and provision and I thank God for YOU! For your love, support and encouragement. Without faithful supporters like you, we would not be able to do what we do.

As with any non-profit it takes funds to keep the ministry alive. If you feel so led, won’t you please consider partnering with us and making a financial contribution to the Oaks Ministry. We are excited about Oaks II, but another home means more expenses.  Another way you can help support us is to consider a private tea party at Oaks House I. See Fund Raising Opportunities page on this website for more details.

You may send your check to The Oaks Ministry, 290 Bethel Road, Oxford, Pa.  We are a 501c3 organization and all donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Our promise to you is to use your gift with integrity, accountability and transparency to honor Christ in every way…..

Joyfully Serving Jesus,

Robin Martin, President
