Five Weeks In House – Oh My!

Time marches on…. since three very special ladies moved into the Oaks house to begin a new season in their lives.  Many times I hear them express how thankful they are to be in the Oaks house and we express how thankful we are for each of them in our lives.

The ladies are adjusting well! Together with Rachel our house manager they are “family”. Together they are enjoying and being challenged by the Christian aspects of our program and when the ladies share their testimony, they share how God sent them to the Oaks House just in time to bring them back to Him, where they should be. I often share with them that they are an answer to prayer.

This past Sunday the women were assigned a mentor to walk along side of them during the remainder of the program. I am amazed in the way God choose these three special women to be their mentors and how He made them known to me. Another testimony of God’s goodness and provision. The Oaks women will be called “a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor” (Isaiah 61:1-3) and their mentors will be a constant reminder of this as they share the love of Christ with them and live by His example.

One of the biggest challenges we are facing right now is finding employment for the ladies. All of them need jobs.  I ask you to join us in prayer that they will find jobs so they can be financially stable by the end of the year and able to find a place of their own.  We desire for each lady to have some type of employment within 60 days of entering the program. We have less than 30 to go.  I tell the ladies “we do our best and trust God with the rest”. His timing is perfect!  It is the sweet aroma of our prayers that stir His heart into action!! (Revelation 5:8)  I often say that a “prayer-less church is a powerless church” so please keep praying church. (church meaning: the body of Christ, not a building, but a people)  We need your prayer support and besides God loves to hear us pray!!

Please contact us at info@oxfordoaksministry.com if you have any questions or job suggestions for the ladies. In our world,  a personal recommendation can quickly open a job opportunity for a new employee. This is one way you may be able to help.

I am very thankful for each person God has sent our way to help with this ministry. Please don’t stop! Together we will make a difference in the lives of hurting women!!

Joyfully serving Jesus,

Robin Martin, President of The Oaks Ministry
