Today is another very hot day, a good day to stay in the AC if possible. I am once again reminded of our faithful supporters which enabled us to make AC available in both of our homes. It is our desire that our homes are a beautiful and comfortable place where our residents can find hope, healing and restoration “In Christ” while they work toward financial responsibility. God is so Good as he continues to WOW me with his provisions for our residents as well as His mercy and grace. He truly is all we need and The Oaks Ministry belongs to HIM. I look for Him in every situation and He is never far away. I see Him work in not just our residents lives but in the lives of those on our Mission Team as we do our best to share the love of Jesus as we learn how to better understand and serve the population we have been called to serve.
We were blessed with another graduate of The Oaks Ministry Program, Jessica Carter. Jessica was with us for 18 months and left our program on May 27th. Jessica is renting her own home, working hard and supporting herself. We praise God for His work in her life. You will be hearing more about Jessica in our Summer Newsletter which comes out July/August. She has an awesome vision to follow Christ and desires to serve Jesus for the rest of her life. She joined a local church while with us and wants to be involved. She knows what it is like to walk apart from Christ and never wants to return to that lifestyle. Jessica is a beautiful lady whom we were blessed to watch God work in her life and transform her desires into a thing of beauty. She reminds me of the verse “If anyone is In Christ they are a New Creation” – 2 Corinthians 5:17 When we rejoice, you rejoice for we could not do what we do without your faithful support.
I ask you to continue to lift up our ministry in prayer as the women we minister to have different needs, personal problems and hang-ups that have prevented them from moving forward, therefore Celebrate Recovery and individualized Christian Counseling is part of what we offer while in our program. We are thankful to Bethany Presbyterian Church in Oxford and New Hope Counseling Center out of Quarryville for making these services available. We are thankful to Oxford Presbyterian Church and Waterway Church for enabling us to provide a home for our residents while in our program. We are thankful for all the volunteers in many different capacities that partner with us both financially, physically and spiritually. We have installed a Donation Button on our website for your convenience or if you desire you may send in a donation to: Oxford Oaks Ministry, 290 Bethel Road, Oxford, Pa 19363
Currently we have openings in our program. We know the women are out there somewhere and are prayerfully waiting for God to send them to us. If you know of anyone that is need of a fresh start, visit our website at http://www.oxfordoaksministry.com. There you will find all the information you need about the program we offer and a pdf for an application if interested. I am thankful that we have a place like Oaks to send our loved ones to if they are struggling and family and friends are no longer able to help. On our website you will also find an application for those who may wish to volunteer with our organization. We are looking for others who are called to get more intimately involved. Together we can make a difference!!
Words cannot express my appreciation for all of you who help us with our Mission. Each one of you are a gift from God in which we do not take for granted…THANK YOU!!
In God We Trust….
Robin Martin, President
